98 – A Question of Disorder: The murders of Anne & Annie Gillespie

In 1988, Anne Gillespie was 18 years old. She was looking forward to embarking on adult life. There was just one problem – her boyfriend of over three years had begun to behave horribly. She decided to end things. Her boyfriend, 22 year old John Gallagher, decided that if Anne would no longer speak to him, he’d kill her.

John also shot Anne’s mother, Annie.

No one could have predicted it, nor could they have known about the 24 years the two families would spend in and out of court.

82 – Frenzied: Redvers Bickley

On Saturday, September 9th 2017, a group of women were celebrating a 25th birthday in a house in Rhyl, Wales.  Tyler Denton was hosting the party for her new girlfriend Hayley Barnett. It was supposed to be a girls night but Tylers room mate Redvers James Bickley had crashed the party.

None of the young women could have predicted that by the end of the night one of them would be dead, and 3 others would be seriously injured.

70 – Lives of Violence: Robert Mone

In 1967, a teacher was shot in her classroom in Dundee.

In 1976, two men escaped a mental hospital and killed three others in the process.

In 1979, three women were found beaten and strangled in a flat in Dundee.

All of these horrific events had one thing in common.

The name Robert Mone.

53 – Exorcism: The death of Christine Taylor

This week, we delve into the world of the paranormal – sort of.

In 1974, in the small town of Ossett, northern England, Michael and Christine Taylor found religion. They became born again after attending a small Fellowship meeting in their community. 

The meetings had a profound effect on Michael, and he began to act oddly. His behaviour led local clergy to suspect that Michael had been possessed by demons, and so an exorcism was in order. But, before the end of that process, someone would be dead.
